DIY Hand-Dipped Beeswax Candle Making Kit
LIMITED RUN KIT / Fall/Winter 2019/2020
This starter kit contains everything that you will need to make your own hand-dipped beeswax candles. Beeswax has been used for candle-making for thousands of years and we’ve sourced premium, natural unprocessed beeswax directly from Gardner Bees, a small family-owned Minnesota beekeeping business that utilizes sustainable and ethical beekeeping practices. This is a craft that can be done with the entire family. Children must be supervised at all times when working with hot wax.
This kit includes:
- Two 1 lb beeswax blocks from Gardner Bees
- 180” of 100% cotton wick - enough for approximately 12 sets of 3.5”-4” taper candles
- Seamless melting pot
- Candy thermometer
- Metal washers
- Printed instruction booklet
- 8"x8" reusable 100% cotton tote bag, custom artwork by Tijana Lukovic
difficulty level: Easy to intermediate
recommended age range: Under 10 adult supervision required. Younger children will require assistance and close supervision when working with hot wax.
